I have a 1970 plymouth satellite four-door sedan it had a 318 swapped it out for a 383 runs good but now I'm wanting to swap the automatic for a manual Never done this kind of swap before needing to know what all I need to do for this conversion thanks

It is quite involved. And expensive.

I totally agree with Mike on this. I thought about it but it’s quite a bit of money. I once did a detailed calculation and it came to over $3500.
Minimum:
$1800 Trans
$400 bellhousing
$400 misc Z bar and linkages
$300 hydraulics6
$500 new clutch bearings
$350 drive shaft
$250 trans mount

What else am I missing?

I used my automatic driveshaft when I did the swap in my road runner, it was the same length. And same trans mount, just reversed it.

I can get a new, made in USA clutch release bearing here in Canada for $45.

Pedals,
and probably another 20 minor things that all add up, speedometer cables, gears etc.
There's a few ways of doing it, the cheaper way scrounging around junkyards or online for used parts, and the expensive way getting all new parts from Brewers. Or getting a Tremec TKX kit from Silversport etc. All depends on the car, the finances, wrenching ability, garage space, access to a lift etc, but surely anywhere between the $3,500 that you said and $8,000. Or if you want someone else to fit it for you, maybe $10-$12,000.

As stated, this swap is not for the dude that is short on cash.
No offense meant here…nobody here knows your financial status, we are just trying to help you manage your expectations.
In the unusual instance where you could find a parts car with all the parts you need, that would be the cheapest way to go but used 55 year old parts will likely need a bit of work to function properly.
Another way to go is with a modern 5 speed manual kit from any of the top vendors.
In 2021 I swapped in a Tremec 5 speed using a complete kit I bought from Silver Sport. Back then I spent almost $7000 total but that included every dime I spent on even unrelated things like a sand blast cabinet to clean parts I’d reuse, new carpet, etc.
The transmission kit was just shy of $6000 then but it did include everything to convert from automatic to manual. Nowadays, some kits don't include a drive shaft.
Good luck.

I easily have $7,000. in a swap from a 4-speed to automatic. Maybe a little easier, but there's no free lunch here.
