Too many raccoons to count. The fox was posing. The coyote wants inside. We had our big trash bin tipped and the trash scattered. Probably another bear. I have one more camera to check.

Crack that bottle of propane open and it will act as a bear repellent.

No, but we did in May. I don't check it that often. It had 10,000 pictures on it. I just checked the camera memory card to see if the bear was on it. I toss some dry dog food out on the porch for the Magpies. So 9,000 pictures were of Magpies and Stellar Jays. I had some dried out chicken drumsticks last week I threw out there. They were gone in 3 minutes. They're so smart. They haven't gifted me yet. Supposedly if you feed Magpies and/or crows they'll start bringing little shiny things they've found. Like old earrings.

11 Birds That Bring Gifts (and What Does it Mean)

Do Magpies Bring Gifts to Humans?

Yes! Magpies are another corvid, featuring similar traits of high intelligence and occasional gift-giving. These birds are extremely well-known for their voracious appetite for shiny objects. This fact can quickly shift a magpie from a delightful gift-giver to a thieving pest!

At least no lions around like when we first built this house. At least I don't think so. We do have them out at the ranch. They ate the neighbors Llamas. Sometimes I'll find a dead Mule Deer out in a pasture. Not fawns. Full sized deer.

The wildlife people cautioned against doing things like kids being bent over playing in a sandbox. One day Grandma is going to get it out tending her flower bed. At 95 I don't think she can put up much of a fight.

Really hot day! Close 100! This guy was tired!
