He blacked-out" the whole car. I think black out is a cop out/lazy touch to one's car. Especially grilles!!

I totally agree with this particular example. However, I had rusty front & rear bumpers and broken front grille on my '70 Charger...since it was going for body & paint anyway, I had the bumpers painted body color to match, and I fabricated my own custom grille. I think it looks pretty good, and definitely sets Grendel apart from all the other stock restos. At least it was far from a lazy black-out slap-job.
