Scrubbing that damn blue stuff off a set of brand-new white letter tires. On your hands and knees for an hour with brushes, rags, and dangerous chemicals. Holy hell this is annoying. They really couldn't invent some alternative way of protecting the white in storage (assuming that's what the blue gunk is for)?

cry me a river

Used this extensively on new and existing tires when I had my rides. Works like a champ...cr8crshr/Bill:usflag::usflag::usflag:

How much it costs to buy or build them these days! Everything else rocks!

Storing them for the Winter season, which is Longer than the Driving season...

Other people (usually morons) wiping their hands over your nice paintwork...or leaning on the car.

This is just about always non-car people doing it.

Every episode of Wheeler Dealers I have watched - Mike rubs his hands across the hood of the car just after it is finished.....that really grinds my gears....and Ed China (Tall Man) putting new parts on a filthy location...clean the damn work area first you munter. :BangHead:

After 50+years of RWL I may have solved the problem: Redlines.

Dad was a stickler on touching a car, "never touch the paint, and if you must, touch the chrome"

Likes;
Favorite things are sounds & smells nothing like it
& then appearances, style
There's nothing like a 68 Barracuda Formula S Fastback, 68 RR or 68 Charger R/T today...
They're mostly easy to work on, especially BB Mopars...

dislikes,
fuels today aren't made for them
carbs & tanks or rubber etc. is eaten' up by the crap fuel/ethanol-alcohol content does them in
I've been replacing 3 needle & seats a year now, seems like it's the norm
quality parts too, not some cheap junk

disclaimer, some are offensive or offended, they won't like what I said;
*what I hate, least favorite things NOW
The hobby has become, in a way I don't like
'people' who agree to buy something, that stall you, I'll have the $$ :blah:
& some BS sob story, sick or wife etc. & then back out, with no good reasons,
when it could've been sold or gone to another person,
but you agreed to hold it, fro the person that backed out after weeks/months...
Then you see they bought it elsewhere, for way more, ok no big deal...
'that pisses me off sometimes', I was trying to be the nice guy
*Or extortion pricing, even for people that can easily afford it,
shouldn't support them
*the flippers & gougers, screwing over the hobby
rusty old worn out parts (some not even cleaned before listed)
worth their weight in gold, it's nuts, completely f-en' NUTS
They (flippers & gougers) want to get a deal on anything/everything lowball you,
so cheap they squeak, cry you a river/sob story about being broke :jackoff: lie
or about prices, when walking, *cheapskates...
*But then, if they are successful, in getting them from you
(I will rarely sell to someone like that, if I get that vibe at all, I will warn everyone)
then they resale the stuff for extortion $$$, 3-10 times what they will pay...
Then they think that,
*Thier parts are worth 'gold' prices & yours *the later sell for gold*,
are with 'rust' prices...
Even if there's nothing wrong with them,
I can afford it but it's goes against everything I stand for, to support that or any of them
but "normally" won't fall for any of it...
You can tell the legit guys easily...
*We have a couple in the classifieds constantly (You'll know who I speak of)
I see it every day I log in, 1st page its full of them
& it's not right, it's going to help kill the hobby,
running an under the table parts business, hiding funds, or income
(some very lucrative by what it brings) off FBBO's members & the owners generosity...
They should be paying advertising here at a min., or if it's a business taxes of their profits too
if they are running it like a business, like a few are...

:BangHead: sorry for the rant

It's all about the $$$ way too often...
That's a shame, should be about the love of the hobby/cars...

I've given away more parts than I've ever sold, because the person needed it
not because of finances, if they paid the shipping, if I wasn't using the stuff...
Why not... Sometimes it's help a newcomer, a young buck, like the older guys did for me,
decades ago, paying it forward...
