So I'm looking at a 74 318 RR. It's a bucket seat with console original.
Should this have a pistol grip or was that an option?
Thanks.

All were equipped with it?

Here is what I found...it almost looks right.

I have no info on 71 and up...just the web which says it was optional.

I personally trust "our guys" over a web search! Lol.

What’s the code on the fender tag

That’s the 3 speed shifter

D13 - 3 speed manual floor shifter

D21 - 4 speed manual floor shifter

Drove 6hrs back from the Nats. and honestly forgot all about the 3 speed..

I'm going to see it tomorrow for the first time. Being a 3 speed might kill all interest in this one for me. ...I have a spare 68 4 speed...but that's for another project.

Definitely walking away if it's an 8.25.

You would have to put a B/E tail shaft on it if you went that route...

Like this..

Back in the day I had a 74 RR 318/3 spd which quickly became a 340/4spd.

4spd should be a pistol grip

Only 772 318 3 speeds. Just sayin'

I've never had any Mopar newer than 69...except for the short lived 06 300SRT, and my 17 1500. The rest were 4 speeds and autos.

Not sure I could live with a 3 speed...I think MaMopar thought the same...thats why there are so few! Lol.

It's just a 318 car anyway.... and a 3-speed would kill the deal over a 4-speed? It's no more a hot rod either way.

The 318, 3 speed, no A/C, no roll down rear windows, needs lower quarters and 8.25 rear.
If I have to swap everything anyway....the novelty of buying this kinda goes away.

They are asking ridiculous money for it...and its a non runner. So..I'll see in a couple hours

So it needs both lower quarters, driver side also needs rocker panel, rear frame rail, both trunk extensions.
Engine inop...no back story. Does have a 15/20 year old Wilwood power brake conversion to replace the original manual brakes. 8.25 rear...no idea of ratio...
Could be yours...they are asking 12k...lol
