I've noticed over the last week it seems they're heading south earlier this year.

Is it me or are they on schedule?

Those nasty border jumping Canadian geese are here illegally and are getting as far away from the northern border as they can to escape justice.

As I refer to them as Canadian Winged Rats, they are just as bad as say...well not going to do so as it would knock this topic to the Political Forum. But y'all get my drift...cr8crshr/Bill :usflag::usflag::usflag:

Canadian geese don't know the weather any better than you or I. Especially the Resident geese (local geese). When the temperature drops a little they'll fly south a couple of hundred miles and as soon as it warms up a bit they come right back. I've seen them come back during the winter months when we get the rare 70* weather.

You will also see them taking their offspring out for flights to get them in shape for longer runs. We had a two acre pond and every year there would be 200 plus come in and hang out until the dominate ones would chase them off leaving about a half a dozen stay to nest. (Dirty *** birds!)

The only geese I'll watch for is the Snow geese. You'll hear what sounds like dogs barking way off in the distance. You'll have to look way up to see them. They're heading south for the winter. Then the same thing in early spring when they're heading north.
