Allison Tribute Daytona #22 clone car goes for INSANE amount

The Mecum write up states Allison ran 200 in the #22 during the August 69 Talladega test.

Here's the truth, with photos: ONLY DC-93 was at that test.
ALL the other Daytona were being converted from Charger 500s back at their respective race shops. (Rossi 22, Nichels 99, Owens 6, K&K 71)

See the pics!

Door bar of the 22 clone should be lower on sill with torsion bar reinforcement actually going over the top a little.
It falls way short. Actually, the TB reinforcement looks like they used bar stock. A real one is purpose built from 3 pieces of metal.
Look beyond the shifter ball of DC-93. Zoom in on the cage bar and check out where the TB reinforcement is located on the bar.

Anyway you look at this car, It's a Cool Car, which many of us would Love to even have the chance to take for a spin !!!

Not a clone for $1,320,000 cool!
True. It's similar to someone dumping Twice that into a car, for say the Riddler Award. When you have "Excess Amounts", the Totals really mean very little. Truth be had, these cars will probably go sit somewhere, and just looked at occasionally...

#22 goofy pedals...
And a gas pedal dress up option? Anyone know what year and body style that gas pedal is from?

Nichels cars used B Body pedals!

EXCEPT DC-93 had truck pedals installed in late 1969 because Dan Gurney wanted more foot room
for the Riverside test. They left them in because it's a PITA to change, per Fred Schrandt, Chrysler Race Mechanic that did the swap.

Rear Interior of DC-93 compared to the Allison clone car.
Look at the rear bars, where they 'land' by the rear shocks from the main hoop.
Look at the driveshaft tunnel. Red car gets close but no cigar.
ALL Nascar stock cars were required to have a full driveshaft loop.

Guy who made a run at my GTX three years ago was a member of that group. The numbers meant nothing to him. I'm sure not in that league, but fortunate I wasn't motivated to accept his offer, and have the car disappear into a private vault.

What's the story with the blower on the driver's side (circled in red); and there are provisions to mount one on the other side (circled in yellow)?

TIA

Rear axle cooler.
Other side would have a transmission cooler when used at Riverside.
Another detail missing on the clone tribute 22.

Wouldn't the trans cooler provisions only be a chassis that was taken out the riverside? Some racers never went that far out.

Not saying this was a Mario Rossi Daytona chassis. But maybe a lesser team? Someone that didn't have a fully car built by Nichels?

Where there Cup racers in Mid-Late 60's with racecar not built by Nichels?

Hand me down Nichels cars went to lesser teams.
Nichels was building cars for Chrysler at least 5 years before 1969.
I’m sure there were a few other builds out there. Petty built his own cars.
Most Nichels cars were all built the same.
Construction techniques of the Fake 22 point to it being home made, which it is.
Pat McKinney never said it was real. There are vintage Wing Car club newsletters stating that.
