Hey everyone, I am new here. My name is Chris and I recently bought a 1968 Dodge Coronet 500. I had the same model car when I was in my early 20's and have waited years to be able to correct my mistake of selling the old one and so here I am. I have already done a few things on the car, but I am extremely curious to figure out and learn new things like how to read the fender tag under the hood. I also still need to verify the block numbers, but the guy that I bought the car from said the engine is a max wedge 413. If that is the case, even though it isn't a numbers matching engine to the car, it would still be a significant score from what I have read. Looking forward to chatting with you all and putting some love into my new near obsession, lol.

A max wedge engine would have a cross ram intake manifold and two four barrel carburetors on it. Welcome to the site.

Go to the main page and scroll down to 1968 - 1970 Mopars
Click on that link
At the top of the that page is a handy decode doc for '68 fender tags

And welcome aboard...

Welcome to FBBO from Ontario, Chris. Enjoy your '68 Coronet project. Please post some pictures of your car. Also, post a picture of engine stampings on the pad near the distributor, if engine is a RB.
