I realize this is a pretty old post..but maybe your still wondering..as I understand you are correct..62-65 are the same...plus so are A body frames for those same years...( A and B body frames are same for those years)

My guess is they are considering they all use the same inside floor reinforcement brackets which are contoured for the floor & tunnel which makes them very hard to put elsewhere.
