I won't go into the vehicle details because it is not a mopar, but for me, personally, this was a major accomplishment. I busted my butt on this thing getting it ready for RoadKill nights because I was selected to race for it, but when it came to fire it up and break it in on the dyno, all 8 injectors were stuck shut due to my neglegence.
Anyway, after making the fist pass last Sunday, yesterday, Sunday, I went an 8.74@161.7. It is a rush accelerating like that for 1320 feet. My goal is to run 7s by 70, so I have a year and a half to achieve that goal. Those that subscribe to my youtube channel have prob already watched the video of the pass. Funny thing, I had to turn down the boost on this pass because it was about to flip over on the previous pass and I still pedalled it in second to keep the front end down on this pass. I think I went from 100% down to 70% throttle and once settled, back to 100%.
This old guy is happy! What a rush!

Cool beans! Glad it all worked well, but a shame that you weren't able to make it to RoadKill Nights - but there is always next year!

Congrats & good luck, getting in the 7's
& the 8.74 @ 161 was no slouch either

Well it isn't a mopar so that's why I didn't post video or other details. But since you ask, it's an 83 fox mustang with a 2011 coyote and an 80mm turbo with a 6R80 auto trans.

Nice going ....a decent speed for any car.

I remember when I pulled 150 in my Road Runner years ago..... that was scary enough.

Talk about tunnel vision.

Thanks! Yes, the first time was unbelievable. I have gotten more comfortable with it after 5 or 6 passes now. Goal is 7s by 70, so just need to make a few changes to get there. Rear gear change is the biggest thing I need to change. It was turning 8270 rpm thru the lights. I want that down to 7700 or less. So a change in the 9" from 3.55 down to 3.00.
