My day: Met a Hartnell College (Salinas) friend (now a dentist in Chico) and his significant other as they disembarked from their cruise ship in Cabo San Lucas. At the last minute, I called in time for lunch reservation at 1:30 PM (the latest time slot) at Flora Farms Restaurant In San Jose Del Cabo. It was a terrific country club atmosphere (live music, delicious super salads, a margarita for me, and complementary double chocolate cake for the birthday boy who shared the dessert with his two guests (who picked up the bill). In the morning I enjoyed a massage and smoothie at the Sand Bar Restaurant on Medano Beach. Last week I drove 3,800 miles round trip (driving a 1992 Jeep Cherokee XJ) in order to attend my 52 year Gonzales High School Reunion at the Elks Club in Salinas (I transferred from Palma High School (Salinas) to Gonzales part way through my senior year after refusing to cut my hair shorter as requested by Palma principal Brother Rehnquist.
Photos are of the restaurant venue and huge iguana that are located on a kind of Mexican ranch/farm property. The pond was full of turtles and fish. As usual, I froze up during the photo opportunity and displayed my dumbest possible expression (70 years old now).
