Bullet ridden 1975 Plymouth Fury CA highway patrol car

I wonder what the story is.... Only thing from that time frame I can remember was the Symbionese Liberation Army/Patty Hearst stuff...

From Facebook:
Near West Valley highway 405, CHP Officer Greg Lamb pictured next to his police car that has multiple gunshot holes from automatic machine gun fire, after chasing a speeding motorist who fled from, and shot at police. Los Angeles, California, mid 1970’s.

405 at victory, thats like 4 miles from me. I remember seeing those fury cop cars. I thought they were the coolest choice for a cop car

Looks like the same car.

VW Beetle in the background!

I believe this is a Fury. The Monaco had dual headlights 75-78, The Fury had single headlight up until 78. So says Google...lol

The California Highway Patrol used the 1975 and 1976 Dodge Coronet sedan (B body with 1 round headlight per side).

Dodge changed the name from Coronet to Monaco (B body with 2 rectangular headlights per side) for the 1977 & 1978 model years. CHP used these too.
