WTB I am in the beginning stage of looking for a 1968 Superbee to purchase.

I just now saw your message. It is the one I was looking at. There is a REPLY button at the top left of the ad. click on it & choose the way you would like to reply, e-mail, call or chat. It may be worth looking into.

It must be my eyes. The driver's door and the area behind the bee stripe appear to be a different colour.

They do point out in the ad that those areas were repainted. There's no mention of it, but you can see that the engine compartment and front suspension were painted also. It's too clean.

"Look up close and you'll see an amazing all-original body wearing its nearly all-original paint (apart from the driver's door and small area on the left quarter panel behind the tail stripe)."

Well, I thought I had something here 1968 Dodge Super Bee | The Boggs Stable but upon contacting the advertiser, I found that this car sold 10 months ago. I kind of complained about sold cars not having their ads removed, and I think I pissed him off. He said it is marked "sold", but I do not see that anywhere. Anyhow, this met every want except the automatic, and I would have made the exception for this car at this price. It looked damn good to me!!! So the search goes on......

Hey Bill, these guys have a bunch of Mopars, you might want to have a look. He says he has a 69 Coronet RT Hemi for sale.

I looked through quite a few Chrysler 68 Super Bee literature with photos, ads and survivor cars and restored to original cars.

They all had only the DODGE letters on the grille. This makes sense, since they say they used the Coronet 440 striped of exterior trim to make the SB.

My guess is some of the SB owners liked the R/T’s blacked out grille with the R/T emblem look. I myself do to, and removed my 500’s center piece and placed the 500 emblem where the R/T emblem sits.

That's a nice car. I'd rather have a 500 with buckets and a console than an R/T with a bench seat and column shift.

Not me.

Buckets and a console shift/column are "bolt-ins".

(I'm a "buddy seat" guy anyway")

"Real" R/T's and Bees are "forever".

Having said that, a Bee or an R/T that were optioned with my bucket seats and console would be top notch. But I happen to like the 500 emblem and taillights.

I did look at the "cars for sale" forum and did not find anything in the past year other than a complete project which I am not interested in. What I am looking for is a decent driver that has the original bulge hood, no rust, not red, not 4 speed, and not hemi (don't want to pay that kind of money). As for power plant, ideally, I would be happy with the original 383 also in decent shape. I have always wanted a 68 Super bee, and I am not getting any younger, so now is the time. I am not all wound up about getting the car. I am willing to wait to get what I want for a reasonable price, and if it does not happen, I am ok with that too. I would prefer to buy from someone here on the forum if at all possible. I would trust that way more than some dealer or random person. If anyone who reads this is from Virginia (that is where the car is) would like to have a look and see if you might know this car, please see the link For Sale: 1968 Dodge Super Bee in Cadillac, Michigan Apparently the owner is female and the husbands name is Frank. The pictures are not very good, but please feel free to comment on what you see. The car is on consignment with www.classiccardeals.com and the link to the car on their site is Classic Car Deals Consignment Dealership

Again, I hope someone here has one for sale in reasonable condition for a reasonable price. I did read the "what's it worth" thread where Mikey was looking for a 1969 Bee, and all the responses were super helpful. If you read this Mikey, I know you bought a car, so how are things now that you have had the car for a while??? Congratulations by the way!!! I will check back for responses to this thread!
Its a shame how many of these cars are sitting in these fields. I saw a few very desirable cars. He is saying in the video that all the cars are "salvaged" titles. But Ive read you can clear that if you restore the car. Is that true in every State?

The good news for you, then, is that a 500 should be way more affordable.
You may want to concentrate your efforts there.
I seem to see a lot of 383 2 barrel 500's for some reason.
Also, not sure where you are, or if it's important, but 500's are more likely to have AC.
