The Surrogate Mother!

When I lived in Maine, I always had a path to the garage and the wood stove fired up. No way that crap was stopping me from what I love.
I might consider trying to shovel another path,or just drink beer and think about it! Lol

Sell a project and put some heat in that shop! Drink your beer out there and maybe get something done, sure beats sitting in the house thinking about it.

Sorry about your weather situation (I say from Oklahoma where it was 79 degrees F. today)!

That's how I bought the five storage lifts for the garage. I sold my 70 Road Runner convertible to pay for the lifts.

Yesterday I moved my wife's Challenger R/T classic out of the garage and moved my Challenger R/T classic over where her car was being parked for the winter. Now the area under the lift the 71 Super Bee project is freed up to get back to work on the car! The weather is starting to break. Going to give the garage a spring cleaning before getting back to work on the car.

I ran a couple of taps through the shifter mounting holes in the shifter plate, wire brushed it and gave it a coat of matte silver paint on both sides.

Well the shifter mounting plate was a bust. Even though it came with the E/71 and up B body shifter that I bought from a member on here, the mounting plate for the shifter does not fit. The E body style shifter only mounts to the rearward mounting bosses on the tailshaft of the transmission. I have three of them they all fit the forward mounting bosses on the tailshaft. Known as the 66 to 70 B body shifter mounting position. I always thought they were the same, you just mount them where they need to go,but that is not the case. The early B ody bracket is three quarters of an inch too short to bolt the bottom bolt into the mounting boss! I got nothing accomplished today!

After getting kicked in the nads last night, I decided to just drink beer after work tonight. It's way more rewarding than trying to install the wrong parts! Lol
