I can't help thinking about this guy...
As you saw in that jar the darker stuff (have no idea what it is) mixes up when shaken, the paint at bottom is kinda thick. The dark stuff is probably why it’s thin. The last time painting I primered the engine first, then the orange, covered well."Hemi Orange" engine paint is thin from Mopar.
I've not had that issue with the non-Hemi orange, the turquoise, or the light blue.
Wonder why?
I had something similar, can of ceramic header paint fell off shelf behind me right next to race car I painted the day before. It fell on the edge of a sheet of metal, .040 thick, perfectly in center on can. It spewed the paint all over me, luckily I closed my eyes, then on side of car, continued to floor where it spun like a top for another 30 seconds. I wiped my face the got thinner to get it off of car, then me. Face, hair, arms, hands and shirt. Still on floor and wall after 30 years. What are the odds of any can hitting square on the piece of metal!
I had a couple of Chuckleheads doing some cement work in my back yard. One threw a large can of blue spray paint to the other. That guy missed catching it and it hit an upright garden rake puncturing the can and spraying fluorescent Blue paint all over my patio furniture, deck, walls and everything else including the two master brain-smiths. it was a huge mess.I had something similar, can of ceramic header paint fell off shelf behind me right next to race car I painted the day before.
