Yea, me too. But it’s just a car, probably hasn't seen snow since the 90's. And it is all sealed up so no water intrusion.
As an afterthought, I could have driven it around the back yard and parked it under our covered patio...I'm not sure what my wife would have said lol.
Family photo of my old cars. Took the GTX out after adjusting the timing. I added more base timing 26 degrees, and limited total to 36 degrees. I also bumped the idle up to 975 for a smoother idle (vacuum was 10-11).

Are you running 88 or 91 octane?
88 clear gas. No ping or detonation. Never had issues with timing running 88 to 91. I bumped the initial to settle the shaking motor a bit.
Updates. I installed an Edelbrock Victor intake and took her back to the track with the sway bar removed. Had a blast and ran some personal bests in the car.

I ordered some QA1 shocks and Caltracs plus split mono leaf springs. If I cut off .5 seconds from my 60', I should be damn close to 11 second 1/4 miles.

For now I still have bias ply cheater slicks and super stock springs on my silver '69 GTX, and because of that can't offer much except I like the direction you're heading and it sounds like you're on the right track.

More glamour shots from this past Friday. Only got 3 runs in because of weather and delays. I need to start doing longer burnouts to heat the tires up more. Hitting 110s for mph @ 1/4, 60' didn't improve.
I just read through the entire thread…nice work! Thanks for sharing your process and all the updates, upgrades, etc. As previous posters have said you make it look easy.
Thank you! It's still amazing to me from where I started to where I am today. It was a great learning experience and I am still having fun working on her. And I did it all in my garage.
