If you're referring to the big spring. I think it's only on one side.

Found a spring! Got some more crap done and half way through seat tracks. I have no idea how many gallons of hardware I have left to sort through and clean….but the 18lb vibratory cleaner is the ****.
Cleaned the pan, rocker shafts, and hardware for the 383 I tore down and started into a box of linkages. Cleaned to bare metal and hit with rust inhibitor.
The 383 had some chrome Moroso covers that I think will still polish up. My hands hurt so that will have to wait.
The 65 roller I bought had a trunk full of trim that I polished and that was enough.

Worth in time saved. Pre-clean in parts washer, get dry by hitting them with starting fluid. Gotta go in dry or the dust in the unit will cake on them.
Working at getting my solvent, real solvent, tank going. That will be a big need for upcoming projects.
nice project...hoping to join the ranks, eyeing a 66 Coronet 500 like a fat kid in a candy store

You won’t regret using it. My process might be a bit overkill. I clean in parts washer, soak in evaporust overnight, rise in parts washer. Then I hit it with some starting fluid to dry.
The unit is good for knocking off rust and polishing but I have noticed if I have any residual grease it only cakes up with dust. Because of that I spot check them right before I put in and take anything I missed off with a dental pick.

Got everything cleaned up to start jamming the 383 together after machine work. These were on the core motor so I polished them up. Good enough.

Well Happy 4th. Early season fishing tournaments are done so back at the projects. Still unpacking and cleaning up ****. Found 3 68 GTX grilles, two with supports. All in nice shape. Found a pile of 70 grille/light surrounds but they all need work. Might be able to patch together 2 decent sets.

Cleaned up a set of pedals for the 67 4 speed project….think I may not have the right year. Have 4 other sets to look at and compare to what Brewer’s has online.

Thank you…..my life be like….oh well. Was good practice. Any idea on where to to get replacement plastic shims at a decent price? Stopped by my local auto zone and the kid behind the counter was zero help. Looked online and apparently the Mopar plastic is special….as usual, astronomical pricing.
Lol, I think I have 3 that are 5.5" and one that is 6". I'd trade with you.
Are you talking about the plastic bearings for the pedals? I think these are correct but you should measure the inner and outer diameters for your pedals to make sure. The brake pedals use plastic bearings. Some clutch pedals used these plastic bearings and others used steel roller bearings.

Thank you. I’ll recheck the ID and OD and make sure it is correct. $5 and some change is better than what I found.
