There was not problem at all fitting the floor, dropped it in, marked the locations where it rested on the frame rails, rocker boxes & rear...

    That is not a TKO.... It's a TR3550... The shape of the rear shifter location changed when they redesigned the TR3550 and renamed it TKO TKO Shifter TR3550 Shifter.. Nothing wrong with a TR3550 but it's rated at 375 Ft/Lbs of torque where the TKO is either 500 or 600 Also the pictures...

They made lots of promises but in the end didn't use the exact fit kit with the offset shifter, instead they used a TKX intended for a Mustang.... He got the car...

    Was it a Kiesler unit? what is the info stamped on the tag attached to the upper right bolt mounting the extension housing? Made to fit a Dart may not be the ideal setup to fit a B body.... @Kern Dog has done a TKO & a TKX...

    Yup... Could be an axle code & if so it should 100% have a 26" radiator... Or it could be the scheduled production date A31 = October 31st 1968... The codes location will tell you which it is....

    The overrunning sprag is damaged (Laid over) by an abrupt shock load... Since the driveshaft isn't attached to anything there's no shock load... About zero chance the sprag was damaged...

    What I did on my Coronet.... Mine looked rusty but actually there wasn't any rust through and very little pitting.... What there was is a huge hole from the original owner installing a 4 spd.... I'm not sure if he used a Hatchett... Or a hand grenade.... Anyway, I cut inside the torsion bar...

    As others have eluded to, Mopar uses C Clips to capture the U joint cup, unlike GM which has tabs made onto the rear yoke... If you don't install the C clips the caps will disappear....
