Changed the boost ramp significantly and really cut the 1/8 mile times down. Should be an easy mid 8.

Brake Warning Switch O-Ring - Where to Get?

Reviving an old thread here, and I have a leak at the sender on this block. Does anyone know what the sensor thread is or what I can use as a plug since I don’t need it in my application. Thanks!

    NXCoupe's Shop Build

How much a yard in your area? I need to pour 10 yards here shortly and it’s probably gonna shock me!

    NXCoupe's Shop Build

I was in that area for Midwest Drags but the deer strike pretty much ended that week, lol. I’ve had it on a local dyno and made 1180 at 19psi. Didn’t really push it hard. It’s a non-intercooled, small cam 540 with Gen1 Billet wheel Precision 7675S. I’m not sure it’ll make much more without 60psi...

Yep, 10-3w/g has 4 conductors. The chassis dyno would be a great asset to any performance shop and 2000whp capability is sweet.

The confusion is the ground. You can get 10-3 or 10-2 w/ground and they both have 3 conductors. You must’ve had 10-3w/g. Shop looks great by the way. What dyno did you get?

Confirming the ported vs. manifold vacuum debate

As rpm increases, the amount of ignition lead required drops so let that guide you through your vacuum choices, lol.

    400 Build Ideas

1.0 hp per cubic inch can be done in stock trim. With a good set of heads and the right cam, valve train and induction system, 1.5 should be very straight forward.

Hit a deer on the track

Thanks, I wanted to get it back on track asap or it might’ve got pushed in the corner in disgust for years, lol. I got lucky (missing the deer would’ve been lucky) that it didn’t destroy anything under the sheet metal or pop up and hit the a pillar, roof or worse yet, come in the windshield.

Thanks guys but I’m in central IL and 1,000 miles away from this thing. The fuel to get this would make it cost prohibitive. Appreciate everyone thinking of me!

Hit a deer on the track

Thanks. I’m leaning towards a bolt-on fiberglass replacement from Unlimited Products. We’ll see if repairing the steel hood works out.

Hit a deer on the track

It’s just crazy that the noise and human presence doesn’t phase them anymore. I’m all repaired and back on the track. Still need to address the hood situation. Hopefully, nothing crazy like that happens again!

Boost is wonderful for sure. I went 157mph at US41 but spun so it was slower. The chute hit in the traps on this pass or it would’ve been faster. The deer hit was the next pass so that ended our week. The 1.41 is my best 60 but I’ve repeated it multiple times on marginal track prep so I think I...

My best quarter mile pass yet at 3950# despite a lot of 5.70 and 5.80 1/8 mile passes. Hopefully moving to the 8 second list this fall

Why you should inspect your Racecar. It could save you

Everyone runs those 5/8” studs with the aluminum spacers but I don’t like the fact that the wheel can move on them. Lots of guys using aluminum lug nuts as well. My 1/2” studs have shanked lug nuts to locate and center the wheel. Just seems to be a better setup.

The American car culture is alive and well. Look on social media and see what’s going on. Lots of young guns doing very cool stuff!

    Fuel cell plumbing.

Use the return as an additional vent by adding a rollover valve or cap it. I’d add a bypass regulator and plumb it back to the return. You’ll get maximum fuel volume at the carb that way.
