    Sad day for the Roadrunner…

Bummer. Glad you were not hurt. I second the battery disconnect. Been through the whole thing with burn scars to prove it. Having had a car fire myself I do not leave any old car in the garage or shop with a connected battery, and I do not keep gasoline cans inside. They live in a locked metal...

No spark when cranking but tries to fire as soon as I let off the key.

Post #25 is incorrect. Voltage to the coil IS critical. All coils are designed to work with a certain supply voltage. Supplying the coil with less than that voltage might result in no spark produced.

Road noise and how to reduce it

A short time ago as I was working on Dwayne's Plymouth.... I was reminded of the noise that is generated by the engine fan.... In his car, the 7 blade fan made less noise than the 6 blade. A few factors are at play though. The shape of the blades, the angle of them and the spacing between...

How much carb is too much carb

The Torker intake is not a good intake for Torque. That is why Edelbrock used a different spelling. They knew it didn't make Torque so they called it a Torker. I learned that lesson the hard way! Back in the 80's when I first started working on cars I saved up my money and bought a Torker intake...

The assaholics just keep coming....Kyle Busch now but most of us already knew that he's

Heard about this when he first got busted. I've often wondered how much his payoff was to keep from ending up in a Mexican prison. Not one of my favorites when it comes to NASCAR drivers. And his brother is even wackier. Kinda like Randy Quaid.

    Sad day for the Roadrunner…

So sorry to hear @Paul73 that really sucks. I hope that you can salvage it somehow or come to a good settlement with your insurer.

Here's a photo of me warming up the hides in my 1968 Hemi Roadrunner at Amber Green Dragways (Now Rock Falls Raceway) back in 1976.

As @Billccm said or Classic Auto Air. They both have quality units for a more factory look.

    383 Mopar Rebuild Help

If you can post the casting # off the heads people here can tell you if they are worth messing with. Basically you either want older heads with higher compression or the newest heads in good shape because the valve seats are hardened from the factory. If you are on a budget, you can do some...

Ubolts too tight -> distorted axle???

Both my 62 and 64 had the original rear ends with round u-bolts, as well as my 67 with the original springs, and other cars and parts cars. I never came across an original rear with flat top u-bolts, at least up to 67.

What did you do to your Mopar today?

Drove the Charger to work yesterday - nice day, sunny, lots of "that thing is sharp" comments sitting at lights downtown. Put a new O2 sensor in the Wrangler today. Bank 1 sensor 2 threw a "circuit low" check engine light. Cleared it, came right back...sensor kaput. New sensor, cleared the...

    Rules for men. Let's discuss.

I get this sentiment but as a farm boy I can't let it go.... The tractor isn't balanced it's just the tilt on the front axle has hit the stop. The lady could sit on the other fender and it would look the same way.
