Bummer. Glad you were not hurt.
I second the battery disconnect. Been through the whole thing with burn scars to prove it. Having had a car fire myself I do not leave any old car in the garage or shop with a connected battery, and I do not keep gasoline cans inside. They live in a locked metal...
Post #25 is incorrect. Voltage to the coil IS critical. All coils are designed to work with a certain supply voltage. Supplying the coil with less than that voltage might result in no spark produced.
A short time ago as I was working on Dwayne's Plymouth....
I was reminded of the noise that is generated by the engine fan....
In his car, the 7 blade fan made less noise than the 6 blade. A few factors are at play though. The shape of the blades, the angle of them and the spacing between...

Both my 62 and 64 had the original rear ends with round u-bolts, as well as my 67 with the original springs, and other cars and parts cars.

Put a new O2 sensor in the Wrangler today. Bank 1 sensor 2 threw a "circuit low" check engine light. Cleared it, came right back...sensor kaput. New sensor, cleared the...
I get this sentiment but as a farm boy I can't let it go....
