    The Hellcat era officially ends!

Never saw a stock Mustang I couldn't put away. I ordered the car with every performance option, and no A/C,no T tops,No power seats or windows.

    The Hellcat era officially ends!

It might have been in the 90’s but, DC had a front subframe to put a V8 in all those K car variants. I never saw one in a car. But I can imagine it would be like building a Pro Stock. Not for the guy with the $300 Craftsman tool set. :)

    The Hellcat era officially ends!

What our naysayer friend is omitting from the discussion is the fact that the foreign overlords of Dodge continued for several years to produce the RWD cars even after the "2016 crucifixion". Why? Simple, it's always about demand and $$$ - and I guarantee some bean-counting estimation, of course...

    The Hellcat era officially ends!

Snagged on a technicality! When the Muscle cars were making a comeback,in 1985 to 1990,Chrysler did not offer a two door high performance V8 powered rear wheel drive car. Until the Viper came out in 1992,they had nothing!

    The Hellcat era officially ends!

The first two years I owned my '89 5.0 LX, I raced SCCA in SSGT (showroom division) and ate those IROCs for lunch pretty often on the track. Won the division both years.... In fact, the black accent rubber trim that went all the way around the Mustang had worn through to the yellow primer on...

    The Hellcat era officially ends!

I tried the '85 Dodge Omni GLH Turbo back then; very fun but fragile as a daisy. Had to leave the fold and got my '89 5.0, which turned out to be the best built car I've ever owned (sacrilege!) - and I thought the whole time I owned it "Mopar SHOULD have been building these!"

    Patina'd RR1 Burgundy 1968 Charger ("Ribeye")

Those needle scaler work great for removing undercoating. I bought one years ago from Harbor Freight for $20-$25. Figured if it didn't work out, or last long, I wasn't out much. That damn thing has done the undersides of 4 cars now.

440 Source vs Hughes stroker kit

I build a few engines for people and have built probably 15 mopar strokers in the last 10 years, 440 source and Ohio crankshaft are the vendors I use. I lean toward Ohio crankshaft on higher performance drag car engines, but have raced the 440 source kits as well, no problems, customer service...

    1966 Belvedere II Wheels

From the factory, were the wheels on a 1966 Hemi Belvedere II, painted to match body color? I read there may be differences regarding Premium code.. I also read that the wheels regardless of body color were black IF they had the 9 3/4" hub caps as shown below. Or am I wrong and some came...

    The Hellcat era officially ends!

Very thankful my wife and I got a hellcat when we did. I'll likely hang onto it for a long time. I feel the car scene right now is as at its peak and unfortunately will degrade as the cars become anemic like the late 70s and 80s.
