I believe it would have been a Federal. But...what year of LA 318 brackets did you get? Later ones, not sure what the cutoff was, would be a Saginaw pump. And you may run into a pulley alignment issue too. If your car didn't come with p/s, it would be very beneficial to get pullies, brackets etc...

It depends on the year of the car. Early ones, like my 65, have no structure for a belt in that area. No idea on 66/67's. 68/9 no clue either. 70 they started putting those in. Others will chime in with knowledge. What year is yours?
