    Bulk head connector

As viewed in this thread, knowledgeable members have posted their own sketches being most helpful, as opposed to viewing say, a FSM wiring diagram. Still, I’ve had a bit of confusion here & there. I don’t know why it has been more helpful to me, but I’ve developed my own sketch using their...

    Hello, I'm new here.

Welcome. You’re in the right place for advice and assistance from members owning/restoring these sweet rides. I’ve restored three vehicles in the last 40-years from rust buckets in the rust-belt (where I reside) to a never salted CA car. Others I did some tinkering with…partial restores. As...

    63 Only

Somebody had made an addition to the clip on the right using a screw. Not sure about Dodge; but my ’63 Ply is attached by offset scissors type clips along the body and upper trim on the doors. For some reason ma mopar used just six of the ‘H’ type clips similar to your photo, for the upper trim...

    Mild Overheating

Lots of good advice, some of the simpler things to check I was going to mention, have been. Another is the condition of the lower radiator hose, they can get weak from old-age and collapse when hot. Form-fitted hoses are best for this connection. When I had some overheating problems after engine...

    New to group

Welcome. NOTHING wrong with a ’57 Olds; they are cool. MO, 1957 was one of my favorite years for several automobiles from the big-three.

    What is this Gray oil?

Done it myself and when using di-electric grease - "Oh damn...yeah I wanted to apply it". Being MY ride, I went back over my work to re-work it.

    What is this Gray oil?

Sure looks like anti-seize, mechanic could have inserted some bolts before remembering the anti-seize being on shop rate not going back to put it on the other bolts. Lol, no idea; just one guess out of many..

The reason why regular guys will not be collecting and restoring modern vehicles in the future

My newest vehicle is an '09 and there's enough stuff in it already I prefer not to mess with. Sure, there are many things I can fix doing some of this, but when it gets to the computer network stuff back away. I've made a few swap-outs replacing parts with matching new or used parts taking a...

Has anyone noticed the poor quality of Levi's jeans.

Lol, one day at a 2nd-hand store years ago, found a bunch of mason jars for dirt cheap, so cheap I bought them. Later came across what those were selling for on flea-bay; oly chit! So auctioned them for no reserve and wow, tons of bids…selling them for seven-times what I paid. Thought maybe I...

    Do You Wear a Uniform?

Yeah, spent a lot on suits, ties, shoes, etc. getting promotions – peer pressure thing with the other exec staff. Well, have to say was making great money, stock options, company ride, other perks, before I couldn’t stand the BS any longer, starting my biz. That span set me up pretty well for...

What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

Putting down MULCH, annual honey dew thing. Take the old '91 Dodge plow truck with the big-box to get three loads of the stuff, saving $50-bucks for delivery - now the cost of ONE yard of mulch. And the...weed pulling before laying in the mulch. My wife never liked my idea of planting plastic...

Has anyone noticed the poor quality of Levi's jeans.

My dear-departed mother was a superb sewer, tailor, seamstress talented, though not as a professional, learning from her mother. She would repair my ripped-up jeans, tailor coats, pants and such for my dad and brother. She would work on my brother’s police attire to fit perfectly. Lol, my...

I'm new! I don't know what to do!

    Do You Wear a Uniform?

Since retiring it’s t-shirt, jeans, hiking type work-shoes, during colder weather a hooded sweatshirt. Gets hot enough, wear shorts. For nearly 20-years, had to wear a uniform of sorts, a mandated tie, until biz-casual dress came around, at first casual only on Friday’s. Lol, got written up...

Cupholder / console insert . Killer idea

Think that looks real nice, like it belongs. Don’t relish the idea of having the lid open as it could get damaged. Might be finding another lid to cut? When I installed a stereo, had to make a cut on the faceplate. I had three laying around, one pristine (I didn’t cut on) and did the cut to fit.

I had a couple fantastic ideas...only to find somebody else came up with them before I did.

Cupholder / console insert . Killer idea

Where there’s a will, there’s a way. In my old B, wanted cup holders being a coffee addict, not needing five ashtrays (two in the OEM console). Machinist friend found a couple pieces of scrap aluminum to machine to insert in my non-OEM console (including for a gauge plate) replacing the cheapy...
