So I talked to a tech at Randy’s Ring & Pinion. He said that seal is good for about 5 in lbs, and confirmed that I was a bit too low for new bearings, as minimum was 17 in lbs no seal. He also stated that for maximum longevity, they shoot for the upper end of the scale on a fresh build. The...

    Early B exhaust questions

    1) Yes, according to the Hedman Catalog. 2) I have had Hedman, TTIs and Dougs on my 63 Fury with a 440. The Dougs had the best spark plug clearance. Since my car is a street car I recently switched to Tri-Ys for easier maintenance. Gave up horsepower for more clearance around everything. 3) I...

    Coolant in oil, fresh build

Ok added some pictures, the fire rings on the gaskets were way out of round on the drivers side, imporperly torqued maybe, I checked a couple of the head bolts with the torque wrench before I pulled the heads and they were fine but now I wished I checked them all... Also put a machinist straight...

Surely not an A body on fbbo!!!

Parts car, and not a very good one at that. Unless it has some rust free sheet metal somewhere, what are you going to sell? Some glass, grille (if it isn't broken), taillights, and maybe the instrument cluster? A 225/903/7 1/4 has virtually no value. Same goes with manual 9" drum brakes, pounded...

I'm 6' tall. Mid size and tiny size pickups don't work for me. Same as smaller cars, too darn small. That's one of the reasons I and tons of other Canadians and Americans drive fullsize pickups and those big horkin SUV's. We can't fit in/drive something like a Fiat. That's one of the things...
