    Shiny paint causes stress

Pretty much the same with my 67, started on it 16 years ago and have been driving it all over for 15. She has aged well , 2 engines , few dings and scratches, 1 gear set swap. I used to put near 3,000 a summer on it but now it's aprox 1/2 that.

It's like that until the 1st little ding or scratch. After 15/16 years I am just glad I put the 1st ding in it. :drinks:

    Mild Overheating

Well Bob the way I checked my 67 was I let it idle in the drive until the temp gauge needle got to the 1st line past cold. I then took a reading off the thermostat housing with my temp gun. Mine read 167 degrees at that 1st line. The needle in the center, my car is at 185. I've seen the...

    torque converter

To get good info you will need to add more about your car. Weight , gears , aprox hp, ect. The transmisson/ drive train section may get more replies. My 2 cents would be Dayco or mabey Hughes.

Can the driver door ID tag be replaced?

I would duct tape a piece of 20ga. over the top of it and tell the guy blasting to stay off of it. Once it's home do that area by hand.

    Mild Overheating

If the hose locations are the same the short answer is yes, but..... could that radiator be 1/2 plugged up also? You have transmission cooler lines to route. Mounting holes will be mis matched. Double ck the height of the c 10 radiator. Just thought of this..... Is it possible the electric fan...
