SB = small block; BB = big block. Used across manufacturers, too SBC/Chevy, SBF/Ford, SBM/Mopar. etc.
Really shouldn't be an 8-1/4 in a '68 unless swapped in, but good to check.
If this is the stuff that sprays on kind of milky, but then flashes off to shiny, mirror-like silver, then it seems reasonably decent from what I've seen. Haven't had a chance to use it, myself.

VIN would be on the passenger's side of block just above the oil pan - I believe that's the number you're looking to share? The one you've shown doesn't tie it to any particular car, but does tell us 'what' the engine is.
