What did you do to your Mopar today?

All my power windows are working now. I still have to put the rear seat back in. I changed leaking valve cover gaskets, and changed the oil. I added GM's Engine Oil Supplement, and put a Wix oil filter on.

Truly incredible! He flies 116 missions in WW2 and lives to be 102. Well done, and R.I.P., Bud.

The night a Super Bee scared hell out of me (Ed Story alert...)

Service manager told me if I had any more trouble with this engine, they would put in a new short block. My immediate thought: What about my matching numbers? LOL Not really. Back then we did not know or care what matching numbers were.

The night a Super Bee scared hell out of me (Ed Story alert...)

Similar story; different outcome. I bought a new 383 SuperBee in February, 1969. The car came from the factory with automatic and 3.91's on a Suregrip. By that summer, it had enough miles on it to be broken in. My girlfriend (now wife) lived about 20 miles away, and I had just dropped her off...

If you have never watched a serious lawn mower race, you owe it to yourself to watch one. Exciting and hilarious at the same time.

What did you do to your Mopar today?

Nice save. I have always said, if you are going to drive an old car, it helps to have good diagnostic abilities.

Good bye highway gears. Hello 3.55

With the big flat torque curve of my '67 R/T's 440, I am happy with my 3.23's. I did have 3.91's in it for a while, but it was just stupid. I had 3.55's in my 440/4-speed '67 Coronet wagon, and liked them.

What did you do to your Mopar today?

I find-tuned the adjustments and lubed the mechanisms for my passenger side power rear quarter window. These have to move freely to work. With manual risers, if there is a tight spot, you just lean a little harder on the handle. Doesn't work with power ones, though. Tomorrow's job is changing...
