    Carter Date Code Question

I’m leaning towards the idea that the “SA” is an “over the counter replacement”. I have six 1969 carbs stamped “SA” and the build dates (years) are all over the place plus I have a few 1968 carbs with just an “S” that were stamped with an “8” indicating that they were built in 1968.

    Ask your Therapist

Nah, the defendant would be fine as long as they didn't "talk like a fag" or interrupt me watching "Ow My Balls".

How about just a random picture. NOT the entire car

Me and my alignment guy are probably the only 2 people that will ever see this, but I figured I’d clean up the front wheel well while I’m doing the suspension and engine

1969 449 GTX, correct trans fluid?

If it were mine, I'd run ATF+4 and from what I read, it works well in the old stuff too but, never ran it in my old stuff unless one would consider my 95, 96 and 97 pickups. The 95 got it a long time ago and so did the 97 diesel powered truck. The 96 is the newcomer and it's been on it for about...

FOR SALE FEDERAL Power Steering Pump Pulley

Any chance you could through a tape measure across the face of that pulley. I don't know if there is a difference between small block and big block pulleys, but the one I need to replace is on a big block and measures about 7" across.

The thumbnails won't expand for me. I like bidding on tiny photos. I noticed the scoops were a little narrow

What's the deal with smelling and tasting the oil?

If your mechanic is tasting your car fluids.. time for a new mechanic

    Temperature Issues

...don't run hot. 22 inch factory radiators recored at Glen Ray, factory shrouds, Hayden clutch fans on 216 blades, Flowkooler pumps, and full flow 180* thermostats. And agree with the above that if your timing is retarded, or your carb is running lean, that will contribute to a hot running engine.

    Comp cams any good?

Along with selling the most, therefore the rates of possible failures, We live in a time where the highest rates of " I want to be a mechanic too" people are crawling out from under their keyboards

Your post showed two different transmissions. The first picture has the shifter in the middle, pictures 2 and 3 have it at the rear.

    Comp cams any good?

Get ahold of Dwayne Porter on here and buy a cam from him per his recommendation. Just went through this on my last motor and dealt with him. His pricing was actually less than Summit, and he knows his stuff.
