There have been a few... By far the funniest one was a 3.8 V6 in a Taurus... I was working at a dealership & had a Taurus come in with a rod knock... I said rod knock, Service manager was sure it was carbon.... Insisted that I run a little water through the intake to loosen the carbon... :lol...
If your sure grip looks like this...
There should be about a 3/8" hole through the center of your diff you need these..

Welcome to the site... Another Californian, Modesto to be exact.... But I'll be in Jackson/Mokuleme Hill this Saturday... Need to make a trip up to Mariposa again soon..
What ever the engine is it's not original to the car so whether it's a true 70 V code block or a later block it makes no significant difference to the value of the car...
That's kinda what I thought... But I have a buddy who's actively looking & he tells me that number doesn't get it done anymore.....
The link is all the 70 & 71 Challenger convertibles on Ebay right now...
I used the floor section from a four door because it was all ready getting cut up as a donor for another car..
My Coronet was stripped to a bare shell...
There was not problem at all fitting the floor, dropped it in, marked the locations where it rested on the frame rails, rocker boxes & rear...
That is not a TKO.... It's a TR3550... The shape of the rear shifter location changed when they redesigned the TR3550 and renamed it TKO
TKO Shifter
TR3550 Shifter..
Nothing wrong with a TR3550 but it's rated at 375 Ft/Lbs of torque where the TKO is either 500 or 600
Also the pictures...
