Radiator repair shops will put radiators in a tank with chemicals to clean out corrosion, restoring the flow to new levels. Sometimes the gunk inside will not come out and you end up with a bill for the service and a junk radiator.

I have used the ECP 26" radiator in my two '70 Chargers. The stock 26" shroud fits. This was under $300 shipped to my place. It uses stock hoses and has a trans cooler.

Higher octane only helps IF your engine needs it. If you don't knock with 87 octane, premium isn't doing anything but costing more money.

I don’t know the thicknesses of the stock radiators. I do know that the thickness does vary with aftermarket units. The 2947 is your last option if clearance is limited. After that, you’re looking at electric fans.

You have the number wrong. The 2947 is the one on the right.

For many 66-70 B bodies, the 73-76 A body overflow jug fits and works quite well.
