It may be able to be measured by weight and thickness. Mine is original so this is something that I'm not sure about. Does the trim you have fit the car? Is there any difference in the shine compared to other trim? These are the things I would be looking for.
Usually reproduction trim is thinner than the original. I really think there is a reliable way to tell, as there is no numbers or pentastar on these pieces.
The seal for the Superbird and Daytona are the same. On the Superbird the thin lip as @dadsbee said and on the Daytona the thick lip is between the nose and fenders.
I watched the video from the 20 minute point and the guy made several wrong statements about the Superbird. Who has ever seen a VIN # on both quarters. The only aluminum on the nose of a Superbird is the front spoiler. Also who has ever seen a Mopar, Superbird or not without undercoating in the...
Not silly, looks like an original Toro Red Superbird wing to be prized by any car guy. The thieves knew exactly what they wanted. I certainly hope they are caught.

I think it was a fair evaluation. I don't think a 440 4bbl auto Superbird is at 225K now. Missing the broadcast sheet isn't the end of the world, but it does tie everything together. Mine has the broadcast sheet and the original fender tag, and the numbers are on the core support as well as the...
I know the feeling for $200K, the attachment gets mighty light. I stuck my foot in my mouth one time already on my Viper when I told a guy I wouldn't take less than what I had in it. Now it's gone.
