Ahhhhh. I see. Like @hunt2elk says, I too find they they usually rub on the inner fender. 275/60r15’s rubbed with an 8.5 wheel on my runner (inner fender). 295’s are shorter but wider than the 275’s. I think you may find theat they too rub especially with 5.5" backspacing. Try it and...

The switch is probably leaking. Looking at the big melt in it I’m guessing the plates inside the switch aren’t shifting and moving as they should. There are after repop ones available and NOS ones still kicking around north on the internet

I think you’ll find that those aren’t actually available. You may want to phone them first
