You could try OC Cars - They’re in Orange County - Either Lake Forest or Mission Viejo. I brought my X there a number of times. They pretty much do it all for classics. Not cheap but the only place I could find around here that seemed to know the drill with old iron.
I have one of those stories. I was in Seattle on business and decided to stay a few extra days and take the rental car up to Vancouver, BC. because I’d never been. Drove aways north of Seattle and stopped at a rest station to get out of my suit and into something more comfortable. So I opened to...
My beloved X - Three times I took it too far. The third time I took it to the renowned tech school in Minneapolis - Dunwoody Institute. They kept it all winter that year and tore it down to nuts and bolts and completely rebuilt it - all new Mopar parts. They refused to do anything not stock as I...
There’s a thread on here somewhere that goes into incredible detail about “how to” for a six pack set up. I had it for a long time because I also had a 68 X which I put the whole setup on and needed help tuning too. I just can’t remember who posted it. ,ay have been @Bob renton or maybe @kiwigtx...
I know this is a little off subject and been done before. But who thinks these old iron horses are going to be worth anything remotely close to what they’re selling for today - when tomorrow hits and these young guys couldn’t give a **** much less afford them after our gen does the dirt nap? I...
Doesn’t matter “Bobby” - Still didn’t answer the question. Now yank that cobb out of your butt….. Or leave it in if that’s what’s comfortable for you….
Gotta love them…..! I have a 2003 ES300 I bought brand new in 03. Not a scratch on it and have not had to put anything into it except regular maintenance - and for some reason - batteries. The batteries only seem to last a bit over 2 yrs. The first car I had to buy in two decades because I took...
On the motor - sure, but I’d be surprised if it fit underneath the hood. Mine fit underneath the hood on my 68 X by a hair and I’m not sure that was with the whole air cleaner set-up on it. I don’t remember - I had very quickly acquired a six pack hood to go w/it all.
I’m sure you guys have heard of the (I think) Oklahoma swimmer competing in a world or NCAA competition and apparently tied right down to the fractions of a hundredths of a second for the medal, with another swimmer. The other swimmer happened to be a trans dude swimming in the women’s...
They’ve always been the “way to go”. Two years in the car has substantial depreciation built in v driving a new car off the lot. If you’re buying preowned from a dealer you’re also getting a full warranty. Private party at least the remaining warranty. A lot of savings for nearly a new vehicle.
