Just like most things. You can do the work yourself, heck most of us can rebuild an engine. You can dang sure remove an old HVAC and install a new like sized unit. There’s really not that much to it. My son was during right out of high school less than 2 years ago. The tools are available as is...
So far Locke Supply sells me everything I need to keep my HVAC unit running. I really need to replace it. It has to be 30+years old. My summer time bills are atrocious. Im dont care for forced air very much and am considering 2 mini splits each with 3 head units. I can install them, vacuum pumps...
I’ve put several hundreds of thousands of miles on Dodges with 5.9 Cummins. I find I replace a water pump every 75k or so. I’ve tried all kinds if brands and price ranges. It just doesn’t seen to matter. I’ve thought about disassembling and replacing the bearings with SKF or the like on the...
Maybe just like alot of horses. Real horses. You call for gallop they oblige. Then you ask them for a little bit more, bam your off to the races now.

I would aslo recommend pistons that are as close to zero deck that you can find.
If your heads are open chamber run a steel shim head gasket. If they are closed chamber regular...
Same difference the other way. No reason to not buy a proper bellhousing and use a transmission that requires less mods to install in the car.
If your going to go TH400 you may as well go Ford AOD. ITS Probably stronger stock then the chevy and Chrysler
I agree its a very subjective subject! Im not denying you like the way they feel. Im just surprised that so many people say they make that much difference.
I can’t install them on my ride due to inference with the exhaust. So I may not ever know the difference. I have considered the...
Long shot but maybe teflon tape on the sender threads not ensuring a path to ground? I only say this because I recently installed a fuel pressure gauge and it specifically said no thread sealant because of this reason.
Im not calling anyone out. And I have no personal experience with SFCs. But it honestly surprises me that they make that much difference. Especially considering the willy-nilly way and placement the prefabricated ones attach to the torsion support.
I can see how the Birdsong method could...
