DMT has that same type of clip with their splash shield. Here's a close up photo of one I got with their splash shield. You might contact them. My wheel well lip mouldings came with screws on my 74 Charger.

Back in post # 13, I stated my grandson wanted to hunt on our land in the mountains but he had not taken/completed the Hunter Safety course required for him. This past April, I told him I was taking the course and he should too. We both attended 5 nights for 3 hours and the shooting range on...
Getting the storage Building we're building at the cabin in the mountains weather tight before winter wet weather sets in and continue work on the Challenger. Maybe replace the flooring upstairs in our house.

I had the same problem with the carpet in my 74 Charger. I reoved the carpet from the box and installed it right away in the car. I placed heavy carboard and a tarp over it and then installed the rest of the interior while kneeling and in general working on the carpet installing the headliner...
One thing to emphasize when I did this. I used a couple pieces of lumber to get the regulator arm level so the new slider was flat on the metal plate. This was to prevent the peg from peening over sideways in the hole, if the slider had not been flat on the metal plate. The metal ball stud in...
I bit the bullet and replaced the slider piece myself taking it slow. I ground off the peened over peg on the old slider and removed it by lightly tapping with a punch and hammer. It came out easy. I installed the new slider/peg into the arm and laid the plastic side down on a 1/2" steel plate...
This is on a 72 Challenger but I see the 71-72 Chargers have the same type of slider. I posted on two E-body sites but didn't get an answer so I thought I would ask here as they are very similar. A search here had someone with a similar situation on a B-body but no answers. I asked him how it...
Rt.66 is a great start to see the rest of the country. Catch all the east /west major highways to see a lot of our beautiful country. Then take the major north/south highways ( more difficult). We now take the side roads to see beautiful areas. City of Rocks in Idaho, T. Roosevelt Nat'l Park in...
Hmm. If you want this type of theft to end, then the guilty must give up something near and dear to them for repayment. Since they have probably spent all of their ill-gotten gains, removal of a body appendage(s) for each car stolen would suffice. Start with a hand cut off and go from there...
The first time I was on Rte 66 was in 1966 with my parents, from St. Louis to Oklahoma City. We sure stayed in some small towns but it was a fun trip. I was almost 14 years old. The first time I traveled it alone was in 1973 in my 71 Challenger convertible (which I still have). It was a great...
I did get some of the silicone ones but these were much better. I couldn't get the silicone ones to work properly. I don't know what I did with the silicone ones. I wish I could remember where I got these.

73/74 bumper fillers home made reproductions, someone interested ?
Here it is.
Actually, all the ones in my photos are hard/flexible like the originals, not the soft silicone ones. The corners have the metal plates attached. Interesting.

We did a Route 66 leg on a trip from Oklahoma to Arizona in 2016. Ghost towns of Glen Rio, Texas on the Texas / New Mexico line is cool as a ghost town with lots of old, abandoned buildings. Cuervo, New Mexico is a cool old town with an old church and buildings on the south side of the...
