As far as machine shop stampings on the engine id pad goes, when i had my hemi GTX, and was sending the block out to a local machine shop for cylinder boring, and necessary machining, i stamped my name, and California drivers license number onto the pad, as to a theft deterrent, or ownership mix...
That's why you need to post a picture of that stamping pad on the engine.
A factory stamping, i dunno, or some machine shop stamping of their own, in the life of the block?

Well, i owned a 71 Hemi GTX, 4 speed car for 28 years, and i never heard your "theory" before if a hemi engine failed on the dyno, it went to the marine division for rebuild.
Where did you ever hear this theory?
It's a new one on me.
And i never heard of any of the engines being "dyno'd" after...
