I'm thinking gloss white would work better than flat white, but I've haven't done it myself yet. Rustoleum has what they call appliance epoxy. It only comes in white, black, stainless steel and almond. Walmart usually only has the white and black. I use the black for all my engine brackets, bolts...
Streetrodders many times, paint the insides of their taillight buckets with gloss white paint, several coats. It's a lot brighter than the rough silver is. Rustoleum has an appliance epoxy that is very durable and very shiny. It does come in brush on cans, but you have to order it.
All of these belts that all of you are having problems with are not the correct width belts. The belt is supposed to be flush with the top edges of the pulleys. I know-that's all you can find. All of the Mopars and GM's back in the day used the narrow 13 series belts with a few 17 series for the...
Several chokes on Ebay, 1 off brand but correct and the Carter 170-1409, range from 30 to 60 bucks. I've used the later ones with the wire on them, they work ok without the assist but would work better with the electric assist. And then Mikescarburetorparts sells an electric choke conversion for...
72 and 73 chokes are not interchangable. And I believe the 73 didn't have the electric wire. I can look up the part numbers in a bit. I know what you need is on ebay. I'll be back in a sec.
You will drive it a lot more if you have AC and if you have a woman in your life, she will probably go with you. If no AC, she will tell you "Go on ahead" I'll stay home. Wind noise on the Interstate with no AC is brutal. I'd put AC in an original Hemi car if I had one! Make sure you bring an...
Let me go to my desktop to see larger pictures. It appears you have the correct pulleys. Your ps belt says 17415, but looks to me to be a 15415. and your fan belt appears to be the 15 series belt also, which is not the correct width. PM me for more details.
Take a couple close up pics from the driver side showing the fan and ps pulley with belts that you have. The ps pulley should be quite a bit wider than the fan pulley. Try to get a pic of the crank pulley also. Call my number in the PM and we can discuss it farther.
All 6 years of the Street Hemi used the same pulleys and ps belt. The PS belt is the wide 17 series belt. I have a few NOS Mopar Hemi PS belts. PM me for more details.
