What Choke Are You Using for Your 1973 340?

Several chokes on Ebay, 1 off brand but correct and the Carter 170-1409, range from 30 to 60 bucks. I've used the later ones with the wire on them, they work ok without the assist but would work better with the electric assist. And then Mikescarburetorparts sells an electric choke conversion for...

72 and 73 chokes are not interchangable. And I believe the 73 didn't have the electric wire. I can look up the part numbers in a bit. I know what you need is on ebay. I'll be back in a sec.

    AC or No AC

You will drive it a lot more if you have AC and if you have a woman in your life, she will probably go with you. If no AC, she will tell you "Go on ahead" I'll stay home. Wind noise on the Interstate with no AC is brutal. I'd put AC in an original Hemi car if I had one! Make sure you bring an...

    Fan/PS Belt sizes - 66 Satellite Hemi

Let me go to my desktop to see larger pictures. It appears you have the correct pulleys. Your ps belt says 17415, but looks to me to be a 15415. and your fan belt appears to be the 15 series belt also, which is not the correct width. PM me for more details.

    Fan/PS Belt sizes - 66 Satellite Hemi

Take a couple close up pics from the driver side showing the fan and ps pulley with belts that you have. The ps pulley should be quite a bit wider than the fan pulley. Try to get a pic of the crank pulley also. Call my number in the PM and we can discuss it farther.

best tire combo? 275/60/15 rear.. 235/60/15 looks short for front.

235-70/15 are too tall for the front. I've always used 225-70/15 and 215-70/15 would be ok. There's nothing like spending your hard earned money on tires that people recommend and you install and they rub. I guess you could always crank up the torsion bars 3 or 4 inches lol. I have the...

    Still can't find passing gear

What vehicle is this in and what vehicle did the trans come out of. The kickdown lever comes in two lengths. Short for the 3 pc bellcrank system and long for the 1 pc rod system. If you have the wrong lever, it will never be right.
