    Dot 3 and Dot 5 don’t actually mix. They will not go into solution. They stay separate. Try this simple experiment, as I did a long, long time ago: put equal parts Dot 3 and Dot 5 into a clear container and shake it up, then observe it for months. Or years.

    I’ve used DOT 5 in my classics for over 30 years with no problems and I’ve mixed it with DOT 3 with no problems. DOT 5 is far superior to DOT 3, in my opinion. Also, I’ve tested it on paint several times. You could wax your car with it and not harm the paint. Yeah, I know most people won’t...

    I converted my ‘64 Sport Fury to discs about 20 years ago, using all Mopar parts. It was a learning experience, for sure!
