How do you guys feel about having taillights and front marker lights always on with the ignition? I guess they call it Daytime running lights. I guess a relay would be needed and I plan on upgrading to all LED so it wont be too much of a drain on the wiring. Is this a :screwy: idea?
I did a search and found some old posts about converting headlamps to LED. But looking for current info on converting the headlamps on my 1965. All of the wiring harnesses were replaced during the restoration(OEM Repop). Can someone point me to a quality LED replacement head lights . Also, what...
Hella makes H4 conversion lights for just about any old sealed beam setup.
Excellent beam spread, and you use an H4 lamp - halogen, HID, or LED. I have them in my Charger (and my Daytona...and 3 of my motorcycles...).
Charger has 2 hi/lo, and 2 hi beam. The hi/lo have bright white HID, and...
As I said in my previous comments I’m planning to use Digi Tail led tail lights that are $295 a set. They are much brighter than any led bulbs.
They provide another level of safety just like the Daytime Running lights that I am trying to figure out in this post.
Here is video of them:
You can't beat Putco Plasma LED bulbs.
Putco bulbs on the right.
I took down all my YouTube channel videos. But here's a link to one and where to get the bulbs.
I've had these for 10 years...
??? Are you expecting them to melt or what ???
I installed LED bulbs on all exterior lights (Amazon). I keep the parking lights on - even at shows - they consume virtually no power.
...your pain! My kids complain that my garage is now like working on the surface of the sun - they complain that it is too bright. I bought LEDlights from Summit that are the same size as fluorescent fixtures and they really do work great. I have 4 old fluorescent fixtures that are still in use...
You won’t need LED flashers if you are just changing the turn signal indicators in the dash to LED. If you start replacing exterior lights with LEDs than you will need them.
Every bulb has a lifespan.
If the taillights are on all the time it needlessly shortens the lifespan.
At $295 a set I’d rather not keep them on when I’m just trying to run front daytime running lights.
I’m not an electronics expert by no means.
I’ve seen how people wire up the headlight...
I added a cheap Homey Freight wireless winch to the front of my lift as well to drag the GTX onto the rack. Still need to get around to adding some lights for working under the vehicle.
