Okay, I’m confused. I was at the swap meet and talked to Rick Lawler (from Classic) and he had two sample mufflers there. The repro stock muffler definitely had the pentastar and Mopar part number embossed.
Only the lower-level cars got the bezel. R/T and 500 did not, as they are trimmed out differently around the cluster. Your R/T does not use that bezel.
And yes, your “catalogue” is Canadian- hence the spelling.
There is absolutely no question that my red one is original. I bought the car from the original owner, unmolested and I’m still in touch with him. Mine is a convert, so it’s also a St. Louis car.
There are always exceptions to the “rule”. My ‘69 GTX 440, that I bought, in original condition from the original owner in ‘78, has a red pie pan and a scheduled build date of 06/04.
Replace the headlight switch on the dash. As previously noted, it has a built in circuit breaker. The flashing lights is a classic symptom of a bad circuit breaker in the switch.
‘68-‘70 B bodies are notorious for leaking trunk lid gaskets. I had a ‘68 Road Runner that was original paint with practically no rust except the trunk floor was rotted out.
