Good new! The windshields are back in stock! Classic industries has em for around $400. Thanks to Cold War Motors alerting me to that. I had just about given up.
I think they were installed across the board by American manufactures . I read that 1969 was a poor year for dealer profits since the cars were lasting so long. Apparently there was some sort of conference involving dealers and the big 3 and that is when the decision to go to nylon gears was...
73 Big Block car, still has 8 1/4 differential , never wrecked, floors and trunk are perfect, very minor rust on quarters, big block opening on the front . Will still roll for easy loading. Also have a 73 front section, good right side B pillar and frame sections, dash etc. Also a 74 RR front ...
I rescued this 75 Coronet from a yard where it has sat for 30 years. I gave $700, did a radiator, 4 budget tires of internet, oil change, tune up ( all Rock auto closeout parts), seat cover and some elbow grease. I'm into it for $1300 total and it fires right up and drives great. I was tipped of...
Its a bit of a hunt to find the right car. My daily is a 77 Gran Fury door 318 car. I knew I wanted that era and after a year and a half found a semi-neglected survivor for $600 . I put about $1500 into it and am going on 10 year of ownership and 75K personal miles. The whole car is at 215,000...
Just from a transportation point of view, 4 door A and B bodies are still a bargain. You can collect a dry Western 318 or 6 cylinder car and it will deliver lots of good miles. Parts are to be had . Considering the disaster of trying to keep 2015 and newer cars going I think there may be a...
Looks like you are covered. The Pueblo yard does have clear glass, I'd have to pull it ( they don't have the help to pull parts). If you are still jammed up on this problem I would be willing to help.
I am positive they have that glass in clear, it could also be they are shorthanded to pull glass out of cars. I think the yard is on its way out ( like so many others). I'll be at the yard tomorrow and check in for ya.
There is a yard in Pueblo Colorado that has a few 71-76 4 doors. Its West 29th st, wrecking. They also do glass install and shipping. If they don't I could probably pull one for you. LMK
Thanks for the recommendations, I'll look into the suggestions. I'm refurbishing the 400 now , it came from the Cordoba that is in my profile pic. 81 K original miles, it looks great so far ( no ridge at top of cylinder, no sunken valves etc. ). It will get fresh timing chain and externals with...
This is kind of a A body question, but I can't find an answer over there. My next project is installing a 1975 400 ( from a 2 door Cordoba) into a 1973 Swinger ( V-8 car). I'll be using Schumacher motormounts and want to keep the power steering. One major hurdle ( from what I have read) is the...
OK, found a new headlight switch at Rock Auto, I have headlights, interior lights, and a tail light or 2. Time for the boring task of cleaning all the connectors. Its running and driving great. I do have a leak at the shift selector rod going into the transmission, my 75 RR has the same problem...
