Yes, I know, painted headers. this purchase was primarily budget based as I am trying to get this car to where I can get it on the road. It currently has no exhaust. I would have liked to have gotten something a lot nicer but I have a pretty tight budget with what I am trying to do.

Exhaust kit # 555-30503 and header kit #555-30081.

it should be a bolt on connection. The headers are part # 555-30081 and the exhaust kit is part # 555-30503.

Well hell, no wonder the tank was leaking if I didn’t even have the lock ring engaged completely. I don’t have a “tool” though? Do I have to use a specific tool or is there something else I can use?

A couple of things. I received the OEM lock ring I purchased off eBay. The aftermarket one that was on the car is actually thicker (aftermarket is the clean one). Isn’t the whole purpose of the OEM lock ring that it’s thicker? Also the last picture is of the lock ring before I took it off the...

So additional question. There’s not any more adjustment on the sending unit. It only reads half full when it’s completely full. Is this just a crappy unit?

I did find an original one eBay. Went ahead and bought it.

I’ve also noticed that my sending unit cannot be adjusted any more and the way it is when I fill My car up it only goes to 1/2 full. So I believe it’s a crappy reproduction.
