What's a decent but not crazy expensive switch to use? I bought a $20 switch off eBay and surprise surprise, it's garbage. The hazard switch is all kinds of confused. It blinks left and right alternatively when you push left or right, puts the hazards on with the switch off, etc.

Are you saying the turn signal switch or is that something else I'm not familiar with?

Because both filaments work (one with lights on and the other with the blinker) makes me think it's not a ground issue.

I know this is a old thread, but I recently 3D printed a plastic gear for a nerf gun out of some carbon fiber filament. It was very effective. I don't see why it wouldn't work in this application.

Are you referring to the whole assembly or just the lens? I've been considering replacing mine with the reproduction in the link below, but I haven't taken the old one off yet. There are a few good pictures of the assembly if you only have the lens. Map light assembly
