My old one has a key instead of a knob to turn the valve. It's out dated for sure but not rusty and the valve seals fine. Local place will only refill it for me they won't swap it .

My 67 has 15 x 7s on the rear original 8.75 axle set up. Wheels are 4" back space with a 255 / 60 / 15 tire. I have 1" on each side left of room.

Glad it missed the muscle and did not need surgery ect. Thank you for the heads up most all of us should see. I would guess that many of us have removed that guard. My brother had one locked in the on position while under a car that he dropped and got nicked a couple times . Glad your ok Kern.
