These guys are correct. The knob itself is reversible. Convertibles never had rear window defoggers (fyi). That location is correct for a convertible top mechanism & “probably” the same location for a defogger switch (?)
It’s ethylene glycol with about 1% water. I was an antifreeze scientist & inventor for several years. I analyzed Evans Coolant (& found an angle around their patent). It’s SUPER close to DexCool concentrate. It’s based on 2-ethyhexanoic acid (fyi)
Specific heat is the material’s ability to absorb & hold heat. Thermal conductivity is a chemicals ability to conduct heat….out of the engine’s coolant and into the air. That is what you want and water is way more efficient than ethylene glycol.

Nope. It’s really tight in there. You may be able to slide the whole console towards the passenger side a little bit by ovalling out the main 4 console screws down inside the console(?). I’ve also considered if (?) I can trim either edge (console side or floor side) of the 4 spd “hole cover”…the...

Your shifter is fine. To make the clutch engage higher up, increase the “free pedal” by adjusting the clutch adjustment nut on the clutch release leaver so that it pushes the clutch release lever further towards back of the car. Keep going! You’re almost there!
