the one above looks like it has clear adhesive squishing out. I would scuff both sides and stick it together with epoxy.

didn't think to take before photos. cleaned this with a Muriatic Acid solution (acid poured into water, not vice versa) followed by a half hour in the ultrasonic cleaner. It had much surface rust on the steel and corrosion on the contacts. Testing before cleaning revealed questionable...
