My 67 has a 11" converter from a in state trans shop. My 440 will flash it to 1,800 to ,2000. But it drives away from a stop at low rpm just fine.

For a original style stamp steel cover cork is the best in my opinion. Make sure the cover flanges / edges are true , seal the gaskets to the covers with some regular old gasket sealer , napa , Indian head ect. Don't over tighten. That's what works for me.

Sprayed alot of Raptor, like T2R9 posted air pressure and distance will.control the texture. Let each coat flash off so you don't puddle it. A 4qt. Kit will do a 6ft truck box including header and sides 2 thick coats.
