Embossed metal gasket. I know sealant might interfere with sealing if too thick. Google search results are less than informative whence gets equal answers of yes and no. I'm working on a Toyota 3.5 Sienna
didn't think to take before photos.
cleaned this with a Muriatic Acid solution (acid poured into water, not vice versa) followed by a half hour in the ultrasonic cleaner. It had much surface rust on the steel and corrosion on the contacts. Testing before cleaning revealed questionable...

wonder how that will affect the RV crowd. There's a private post office box store north of Rapid with 8,000 addresses. They claim a box counts as a physical address. The County loves the money, but I'm surprised California insurance companies let them get away with it.
