Thermostat Housing Choices: Style A or B?

I run one of the aftermarket on my 318. I didn't like that it didn't have a lip on it to help retain the hose. I had fears the hose would pop off. I cut a few grooves to hold the hose and make the clamping secure. Many said they are just fine as is.

Some of the early ones had a snap ring and a spring behind and the glass would come out. Later the glass was glued. I believe yours is later. This would most likely be the quickest and easiest. Along with being cost effective. Are you replacing a Poly 318 ? 66 was a transitional time for Ma Mopar going to the LA engine across the board come 1967. Some 65 B bodies had a 273 as one of my cars were. 66 it was possible, not sure. Anyway...

Bought tires from Summit and got this

I would say within one year. so if you are buying 4/25 no older than 4/24. I was buying a set of Cooper's, one date was 5 months old.The other was 4 years old. The tire salesman said "Don't worry about it" No thanks was my reply.
